On the 1st of October 2004, the final rights of access under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 came into force, in the UK. A new comedy film called Wheeling Dealing, starring Jane Horrocks and Kirin Saeed, and sponsored by ITN was premiered at the ODEON in Covent Gardenon the30 September 2004, to highlight the rights of people with disabilities.
Funded by a bequest from the Estate of the late Louis Stanley, who was chairman and joint managing director of British Racing Motors, the film takes a fresh look at images of disability, and is not afraid to have a good laugh along the way.
